Who were the most active executives on Twitter during VivaTech?

Who were the CAC40 leaders most active on Twitter and LinkedIn about Vivatech?
From 16 to 18 May took place in Paris the 4th edition of the VivaTech show. The perfect opportunity for managers to place their speech but also their company at the heart of an event that brings together the greatest artisans of innovation and technology. However, not all managers, especially those of the CAC40, spoke during this event on social networks. The Metrics Factory observed for you the content published by these leaders and collected the main metrics to give you an overview of their activity during this show.
38% of CAC40 leaders active on Twitter spoke on VivaTech from 16 to 18 May
Not many CAC40 leaders spoke about VivaTech. Indeed, only 6 of them expressed themselves on Twitter. Figures that are no more surprising than that when you know their rate of presence and activity on these two networks. While 33% of managers published at least one post on Twitter during the month of April, 29% of them were active on LinkedIn during the month of April, 29% of them were active on LinkedIn during the same month.

Thanks to the data provided by Visibrain, we had access to all the tweets published about the event. After consulting the accounts of the directors of the CAC 40, we made several observations. The first being the following: 38% of CAC40 leaders active on Twitter spoke on VivaTech.
Sophie Bellon, boss of Sodexo, published 7 tweets during VivaTech while 2 managers published 2: Thomas Buberl, CEO of Axa, and Isabelle Kocher, CEO of the Engie Group. 3 other managers also spoke: Stéphane Richard from Orange, Frédéric Oudéa from Orange, Frédéric Oudéa from Société Générale and finally Christophe Cuvillier from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
In terms of engagement, Stéphane Richard is the manager who collected the most thanks to 1 single tweet (288 commitments), ahead of Thomas Buberl and Frédéric Oudéa. The number of RTs and likes obtained by the Orange executive is not due to chance: he is in fact the 2nd leader of the CAC 40 with the largest audience on Twitter (68,605 followers), just behind Alexandre Bompard (74,507).

In terms of content, we note the prominence of Sodexo. As other managers have published fewer tweets and therefore cited their companies less times, the visibility of their companies is lower. In the other most used words, we must highlight the importance given to themes dear to VivaTech, related to innovation and digital technology: digital, startups, Tech. A third group of words refers instead to dreams, to the future and to the human: future, imagine, people. Finally, a theme developed by Thomas Buberl stands out from the others: healthcare.
29% of active leaders on LinkedIn spoke on VivaTech, before, during and after the event
On LinkedIn, 4 managers spoke on VivaTech: Thomas Buberl from Axa, Sophie Bellon from Sodexo, Christophe Cuvillier from Unibail and Jacques Aschenbroich from Valeo. Three of them also posted content on Twitter during VivaTech, from 16 to 18 May.
Thomas Buberl is the leader of the CAC40 which has collected the largest number of commitments with 1,152 likes and 26 comments in only 2 posts. It is followed by Sophie Bellon, with 180 commitments (174 likes, 6 comments).
Among the most mentioned themes, we note the strong use of the hashtag #VivaTech and the term “technological”. Sophie Bellon and Jacques Aschenbroich also took advantage of a post on LinkedIn to share articles published on Les Echos. The CEO of Valeo even took the opportunity to duplicate this interview via an article published on the social network.

The main lessons of this study on executive speaking during VivaTech:
#1 - The leaders of the CAC40 are not taking advantage of this event enough to act as experts in their sector of activity.
#2 - Executives active on VivaTech, both on Twitter and on LinkedIn, are not limited to duplicating the content of their posts.
#3 - Executives who spoke about VivaTech did not sufficiently cite and highlight their companies in their content.
#4 - Some leaders, like Thierry Breton, limited themselves to RTs on VivaTech and did not publish any tweets during the event, from 16 to 18 May.
#5 - The managers of the most visible and mentioned companies during VivaTech were not necessarily active on Twitter and LinkedIn during the event.
